Parent overrides

In an Ilograph diagram, the resource tree not only helps organize resources, but it enables context nodes in perspectives:

There are multiple perspectives in an diagram, but only one resource tree, so by default all perspectives will have the same context nodes. We can, however, override this on a per-perspective basis using perspective overrides.

By defining parent overrides in a perspective, we can give resources new parents for that perspective:

- name: WonderApp
  color: navy
  defaultRelationLabel: Requests
    - resourceId: Load Balancer
      parentId: LB Security Group
    - resourceId: Alpha, Bravo
      parentId: Instance Security Group

Overriding parents is a powerful way to show your resources in different contexts. To learn more about overrides, see this blog post and this example ilograph diagram.
